God is One

 God is One

In India there are 330 million gods in the Hindi Dharma or One’s Righteous Duty.  Yet, even the most devout among them agree The Ultimate Reality is One, formless and timeless.* Now the question which needs to be answered is this one:  What constitutes the Ultimate Reality?

If all things formed are in constant change, what is constant or changeless?  What has been there since the beginning of Time and will be there long after we are gone?

I would like for YOU to give this some thought before going on due to continuous confusion concerning the word Generator, Operator, and Destroyer (GOD).

There are clues, which are often espoused by the ignorant to baffle the masses, each pretending they know the meaning of what they read.  I have on numerous occasions been accused of such ignorance.  See, if you can do better.  In the first verse of the Tao Te Ching, it states:  The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.  The Name that can be named is not the eternal name.  The Tao is both named and nameless.  As nameless it is the origin of all things; as named it is the Mother of 10,000 things.  Ever desireless, one can see the mystery; ever desiring one sees only the manifestations.  And the mystery itself is the doorway to all understanding (underlined for emphasis).

In your lifetime, did you ever pass through the door of Understanding to find the mystery to Life?  For, if you did not, how do you expect to become One with the Nameless One?  Chanting, fasting, austerity, dogmas, rites, and rituals are of little help to find your essence.  You can chant any mantra.  The Door to Salvation will remain closed.  There is only one way:  Ever desireless, one can see the mystery. As long as you have one desire One sees only the manifestation of the mystery.

Fulfillment of Life by the divine cannot be attained through lust and greed (Ramakrishna).  Brotherhood and Sisterhood can only be attained when we are at peace and One with God (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar).  The founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev,  said:  God is One and the true way to attain Him is to worship Him.* Jesus said: Love thy God with all your Heart, Soul, and Mind.  Love your neighbor as yourself.

Human beings should strive towards truth, purity, sincerity, morals, and unselfishness (Swami Vivekananda). Sant Kabir is considered to be one of the greatest poets as well as mystics ever born in India.  He believed that God is the ultimate aim of every individual.* (Wikipedia Free Press)

The Quest

The quest of every individual is to find God and become One with God.  This much has been made clear by all the scriptural writings and sayings of gurus, swamis, and yogis. The process by

God is One                                             -2-

which one becomes One with GodGod is most powerful, omniscient, and omnipresent.

You and I should be aware of two things.  One is peace is possible.  The other is that you are responsible to be in peace.  Without peace, we will always engage in wars.  With peace, the sword and shield can be turned into pruning hooks and plow shares.  You choose.  It is a choice available to each human being while alive, not after he dies.

When you are at peace, you feel fulfilled.  When you are not, you will always feel empty.  These are simple words containing each a profound meaning regarding your duty to live in pe all automatically in place.

What I have to tell you has been told numerous times before, with similar results of the blind and deaf killing the prophets and having Jesus crucified.  It happened then and is happening now.  For this reason Einstein said:  I know not what weapons will be used in WWIII; but in WWIV they will use sticks and stones.
